A Celebration for Baby M

Feeling the L-O-V-E after a special celebration this weekend for our baby boy, arriving in twelve short weeks from now.

Kevin and I celebrated with a big group of friends (girls and guys!) in our home to welcome our new addition coming this winter. We had so much fun — and came away feeling that much more love and excitement as we prepare for baby.

I selected these darling blue baby shower invitations from Minted, as well as coordinating gift tags to send guests home with a little treat. On the food menu I prepared was a Grains Salad with Arugula, Basil, Citrus Cranberries, Pistachios and Fresh Lemon… Honey Ham, Provolone, and Arugula sandwiches… Fresh Raspberry Lemonade with Assorted Fruits (and spirits!) to spike beverages. Kevin had a solid beer selection covered, of course. I also recruited Paramount Events bring in a large charcuterie tray with specialty meats and cheeses, as well as a colorful vegetable display. For those of you who are local to Chicago (or NYC): I recommend Jayson Home for a great selection of fresh florals available in store.

We’re so thankful for our friends, near and far, who’ve shared in our joy — and also to our parents, who are generously both hosting more celebrations in our hometowns in the coming weeks.

Now, on to the third (and final) trimester!
