Wishing you a Happy Halloween! The past few weeks in Chicago have been absolutely beautiful. The leaves have changed to vibrant colors of red, orange, and yellow, while mornings are crisp but still sunny. I thought you might like to see a few photos around the neighborhood (specifically speaking — Lincoln Park), especially now as many of the front stoops are decorated in ways so festive and charming. I hope you enjoy the holiday weekend!

Loving Lately...

posted on: Wednesday, October 29, 2014

Hope you're having a great week! A few pieces I'm loving lately... this soft cowlneck sweater and cozy camel scarf to keep warm on chilly fall days, as well as this classic ivory cable knit. These tall suede boots have been on my wish list for some time, but I'm leaning toward less expensive styles that look similar, like these and these. A few favorites currently on sale include this black peplum top and these metallic heels (so perfect for upcoming holiday parties!).

Items as seen above:

Are you familiar with LIKEtoKNOW.it? In case you're not familiar (or are a little confused on how it works!), LIKEtoKNOW.it is an app that makes Instagram shoppable. Have you ever seen a photo and wondered, "Where can I find that?!" Whether it's a pair of shoes, a scarf, piece of jewelry, beauty product, or even a home decor item, LIKEtoKNOW.it delivers direct links to your inbox so you're in the know. All you have to do is register, "like" your favorite Instagrams — and voila! Shopping made easy. Bordeaux

The past few days in Chicago have been warm and sunny, so I'm taking full advantage to wear lightweight pieces, like this white midi skirt, before winter settles in. To keep the look suitable for fall, I paired the skirt with this deep-colored bordeaux turtleneck and neutral heels. When it's time to layer again, the top will be a repeat staple of mine throughout the season — I'd love to wear it with a fun statement necklace for daytime or a faux fur vest for a night out with girlfriends. I hope you have a great week ahead!

TGIFall

posted on: Thursday, October 23, 2014

Fall is my favorite season to dress for. Soft sweaters, stylish scarves, cozy coats, and long layers…yes, please!  I love quality basics, like these, that can be mixed and matched throughout the season. Right now, J.Crew is offering 25% off new arrivals with the code TGIFALL. (The sale includes men's and kids, too!) A few highlights? This parka with faux fur trim, a classic quilted jacket, these incredibly slimming pants, and my go-to pair of suede booties (as seen here!). Any favorite styles you have your eye on?

Cozy at Home

posted on: Wednesday, October 22, 2014

As much as I love exciting nights out in the city (like this past Saturday), many of my weekends truthfully look more like this: cozied up at home in a soft sweater with my favorite faux-fur blanket. This last week, I enjoyed the extra bonus of having my family dog, Bailey, visit while my parents were traveling on vacation. (She's the cutest!) Do you prefer nights out, or more low-key weekends (à la wine and Netflix, perhaps)? While I appreciate both, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm always thankful for the opportunity to travel, whether it's a new city in the U.S. or farther away across continents. While I've been able to visit some pretty amazing places over the years, it's always fun to research and dream of future destinations, don't you think? Some of my favorite spots I've visited so far include places from Provence to Croatia, Paris to Vail, and Sedona to Isla Mujeres! Here I've compiled a list of ten places I'd love to visit. Now your turn! Tell me your favorite travel spots — and where are you wanting to jet-set to next?!
